Sunday April 6 (5:30-7:30), at Sexpositive Shop

This is for those of you who want to go to the next level, e.g. partial suspension

Intermediate class

Prerequisites:
⁃ single column tie
⁃ Able to tie a functional harness(such as a chest, hip or Futomomo)
⁃ Join two ropes together
⁃ Have your own rope (at least two) and cutting tool
⁃ Basic Awareness of rope safety and consent
⁃ A tying partner (ideally)

From Gabriel’s perspective, intermediate level rope is the fluid application of beginner skills to achieve your rope goals. This takes practice and some creativity. Hopefully you leave the class feeling inspired and connected to your partner.

This class will focus on “functional” rope- solid structures and proper tension used to create restriction and exposure for play, including partial suspension, predicaments and tying people to things.

We will learn rigging techniques for uplines and tie offs such as y- hangers, double bights/yuki, truckers hitch, and locking off.

Instructor: Rope has captivated Gabriel for its beauty, sensuality, versatility, technical challenge and artistic expression. He loves the slow build up of connection and inherent intimacy between rigger and bottom.

Gabriel has been doing rope (self taught) for several years. With a background in engineering, a love for knots (naughty or not), a lot of studying, and now hundreds of hours of practice with many amazing models, he's picked up some skills. He has enjoyed sharing those skills in the many group rope sessions in Nanaimo and Parksville.
